Advice from Gen A (2010 to Present)

Updated: Jul 7, 2021

Since there are eleven year olds and three year olds in the mix here, the advice certainly has some range to it. I asked their parents to ask them what was the most important thing they learned or what advice they would give. To be honest, I might start going to some of these kids for advice. I can update this list if anyone else's child wants to contribute or I missed someone's response.

"Always remember to smile." Amir

"I wish I knew when I was a baby how to make friends. I wish I knew how to do a lot of stuff!" Annika

"You should always play with toys." Anna Catherine

"Babies are people, people have babies, Mark {our neighbor] is a people so he had a baby." Bailey

"1. Enjoy life when you’re a little kid and you have no homework.

2. Learn how to be a famous YouTuber at a young age.

3. The key to happiness is finding your place and having lots of friends. You can’t really sit on the couch and watch tv all day in your underpants. You just have to get up and try."

Ben had many things to say!

“Screw gender roles, be yourself, and pay attention to your classes!” Chloe (Borderline Gen A and Zoomer)

The most important things he has learned are "riding his bike, basketball, and then loving everyone." Greyson

“Timeouts help me be a good listener. We should be kind to others and say thank you.” Joshua

"Eat all your snacks and no crying." Luke

"Just be kind." Spencer

"President Lincoln was a great president because he freed the slaves!" Thomas
